My tabs are side by side, so I would probably have to undock the smart Content pane, to be able to drag the poses over to it. This one, is super quick - I honestly actually sat there going 'huh? did something go wrong' when it completed. I always forgot to run the forearm unlock, could never remember to go and find it in scripts once I had applied the pose. Would it be possible to do step by step instructions, to help me visualize that a bit better?Īh! :D I thought that, once you mentioned the 'forearm unlock' thingy. Ok, I'm a little lost with that explanation. The metadata ends up in LOCAL_USER product as User Data, I believe. But in the end, you end up with poses that have metadata compatibility with G3F (because she was selected when you did the drag and drop) and the right category and type to show up in Smart Content when G3F is selected. You have to select the type separately for each pose file which is a big pain. A dialog usually pops up then and lets you select the type of item it is. You can however select G3F in the scene pane and then drag and drop the poses (from the Content Library Daz Studio Formats folder where you stored them) onto the Poses category in the Smart Content pane. I don't think we are permitted to add assets to cloud products either.

When I convert poses, I put them into the content directory where I install non-Daz Connect products (like things I install with DIM or things manually installed from other stores or ShareCG). So, I no longer assign metadata to converted poses. I prefer to have them just over in the Daz Studio Formats folder where I stored them so I know that those are converted poses that require Z Forearm Unlocker and might be iffy. If you are getting better results than this, maybe I am doing something wrong.īecause I'm not very happy with the converted pose results, and because I have to first apply Z forearm unlocker, I decided that I don't want converted poses mixed in with other poses in Smart Content. I'm not good enough at pose tweaking to fix this without a lot of work. G3M is on the right, posed with the Z Forearm Unlocker and the converted pose. G2M is on the left, posed with the original pose. I tried to convert the Center of Gravity poses. Anything where the hands touch other parts of the body or another figure in a couples pose, never work correctly for me, even when I am careful to apply the Z Forearm Unlocker. I've kind of given up on it, for anything but the simplest poses that don't matter if they are 'off'. I'd like to ask you whether you've been satisfied with the results of the pose converter.

Any time I have tried to do that, I get an error message telling me I can't do that. I've edited metadata before and it's always worked before, so I'm at a loss why the new files aren't showing up in the Assets tab for me to categorize them and then reimport the metadata so they will show in the product in Smart Content.Īnyone have any ideas about this? you trying to put your converted poses into the Daz Connect Data cloud folder with the original poses? I don't think you are allowed to add files to that cloud structure. However, when I switch to the Assets tab to do the categories etc bit, the converted files are NOT THERE.

The Content DB editor shows up, and I right click in the Support Files area and add the converted poses plus the pngs to it.

Then I go to 'Products' and right click on the Sweet Girl Poses and choose 'edit metadata', so I can get the converted poses to show up and be added to the product. It converted the poses, adding '_Gen3' to the name, which is correct, and put the converted poses plus the corresponding png's in that folder. I highlight all the duf poses and then run the script. (In this case, it was 'Sweet Girl Poses for Aiko 6' )

Ok, so use the script, I browse to data/cloud and find the Gen2 poses that I want to convert.
